Opera  software has released an updated version of its web browser,” Opera 12” for Windows,Linux and Max users with some incredible features and add-ons.It has also gone through many performance improvements to compete with other browsers like Mozilla Firefox and Google chrome.

It is the first browser from opera to feature customisable themes.Themes are accessible from Opera>Appearance Menu,You can easily install and change the theme,you doesn’t have to restart the browser again and again.One of the crucial advancement seen in Opera 12 is the separation of plug-ins from the main browser as it helps opera from crashing if the plugins go down.

New Features of  Opera 12.

  •  Tabbed browsing(Speed Dial view when a new tab is opened) and built-in search.
  • Customisation of themes.( Users can now choose from over 350 themes).
  • Enables the  user’s  webcam and let sites capture a photo of them.
  • Better Web standards support – particularly HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Separation of plug-ins from the  browser.
  • Improved security(“Security badge”  contains information on security and privacy policies of  sites users visit)
  • WebGL( graphical language for 3D video games).
  • Do not track,CSS3 animations and transitions,HTML5 drag and drop,support for many languages,Hardware Acceleration,smart URL shortening.

    i have tried opera before but I still prefer to use firefox and rockemelt.. it is very hard to change what you are accustomed to.. especially your plugins and extensions

    I’ve yet to try downloading this.. oh, and I actually have the Opera Mini on my Lenovo Q350 phone. But I haven’t really explored much of it yet.

    I like Opera. The only reason I stopped using it was some sites that I frequented before were not optimized to work as expected under Opera.

    Opera is a great browser because of its fast loading speeds. It is also not too big for your laptop as such other browsers. But it is the best that you can use for your mobile phones. It has a lot of features that you would love using on your mobiles phone.

    I jump around and use different browsers every day but haven’t even considered Opera. I just didn’t know anything about it. However, I am glad to hear that it’s competitve and will give it a try and see what it has to offer.
