Google announced a new search algorithm update, Which targets webspam techniques such as keyword stuffing and link schemes. The change will go live for all languages at the same time. The update is live now and causing some big search ranking upheavals. Webmasters are already complaining about the negative effects of the update.
Webspam Algorithm
On 24 April, Matt Cutts ,Distinguished Engineer of google announced that ‘’ we’re launching an important algorithm change targeted at webspam. The change will decrease rankings for sites that we believe are violating Google’s existing quality guidelines. We’ve always targeted webspam in our rankings, and this algorithm represents another improvement in our efforts to reduce webspam and promote high quality content. While we can’t divulge specific signals because we don’t want to give people a way to game our search results and worsen the experience for users, our advice for webmasters is to focus on creating high quality sites that create a good user experience and employ white hat SEO methods instead of engaging in aggressive webspam tactics.’’
What is Webspam?
According to google , The opposite of “white hat” SEO is something called “black hat webspam”. “ In the pursuit of higher rankings or traffic, a few sites use techniques that don’t benefit users, where the intent is to look for shortcuts or loopholes that would rank pages higher than they deserve to be to be ranked.
Keyword stuffing-loading a webpage with lots of keywords in order to get high ranking in google .Using many keywords in a single page may irritate your readers ,and can harm your ranking.
Google’s blog post provided example of webspam techniques such as keyword stuffing and link schemes.

IMPACT OF WEBSPAM UPDATE.
Google states that the new webspam search algorithm will affect about 3.1% queries in English and about 3% queries in other languages such as German, Chinese, and Arabic,This percentage will increase for more highly spammed languages. About 5% queries will be affected in Poland.

Search Google for a competitive term such as “new shoes” — look who’s #1:
Interpretive Simulations – NewShoes – (Intro to Marketing, Marketing Principles)
All competitive terms have some youtube videos on the top which aren’t of any good quality even.
This is not what is expected of google. Please revert..

I have seen a big mess in results now. Doesnt this algo change just allow spammers to bring down competitors alot more easliy, just send a heap of junk/spam links to their sites.

I think this update is just a simple mistake by Google showing wrong results, I have checked the keyword, make money online and the fake site there is no more and some other stuffs.
Google made the blunder and has now corrected many of them.
Thanks for letting us know about this

Hey Exclusivebloggers,
Speaking of which, What would happen if google became more than just a regularly updated algorithm and instead was given artificial intelligence and the ability for dynamic change and growth?
Open question. Have fun
Keep up the good work
